Workshop on “Entrepreneurship Growth” at the District Collectorate, Madurai

NABARD MABIF delivered a Workshop on “Entrepreneurship Growth” at the District Collectorate, Madurai for entrepreneurs supported under the Greenpreneurs Initiative implemented by ADRA India, in collaboration with UNHCR.

The session focused on practical and application-oriented aspects of micro-enterprise development, covering:

-Sustainable and cost-effective business operations

-Step-by-step business expansion strategies

-Diversification opportunities for micro and home-based enterprises

-Importance of incubation support in reducing business risk

-Awareness on key government schemes such as PMFME, PMEGP, MUDRA, CGTMSE, DAY-NULM and Stand-Up India

-Basic statutory compliances including Udyam Registration, FSSAI (FoSCoS), and GST fundamentals

The participants included Sri Lankan refugee entrepreneurs engaged in small-scale eco-friendly businesses such as food processing, hair oil preparation, petty shops, and repair services. The objective was to support them in formalizing, stabilizing and sustainably growing their livelihood activities.
