NABARD MABIF encourages exposure visits for students by providing valuable opportunities to learn about entrepreneurship and innovation in the agribusiness sector.
As part of their “Entrepreneurial skills for Agri-business and Managerial skills for Agri-business” course, B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students from the College of Agricultural and Technology, Theni visited the MABIF. During the visit, MABIF highlighted various opportunities available for startups, entrepreneurs, farmers and FPOs to scale their products and services. The students also visited the MABIF Products Promotional Centre (Gateway of Madura), NABARD GIFC and the Food Processing Centre, which has Milk Processing Unit, Retort Processing Unit, Chikki Processing Unit, Animal Feed Production Unit and Food Testing Laboratory, etc.,
Mr. Sai Vishnu K, Founder of Sea Eden Pvt Ltd and Mr. Kishore M R, Founder of Rearly Tech Private Limited, interacted with the students and explained their entrepreneurial journey, business operations and startup activities, providing valuable real-time insights into the agribusiness sector.
The exposure visit provided students with practical knowledge on value addition, food processing technologies, food safety measures and quality standards followed in the industry, while also motivating them towards entrepreneurship and innovation.
A total of 64 participants, including students and faculty members, actively took part in the exposure visit.
