Post-Project Sustainability for VWC members of the KfW Soil Project and PFA representatives

NABARD – National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development in association with NABARD MABIF, organized a 3-days training program on Post-Project Sustainability for VWC members of the KfW Soil Project and PFA representatives from 05th to 07th December 2024 at MABIF, Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. S. Natarajan, Former CGM – NABARD, Mr. A. S. Sakthi Balan, AGM, NABARD-Madurai and Er. Ganesh Moorthy K, CEO, NABARD MABIF, setting the tone for an insightful and impactful program.

Training Highlights:

-Interactive sessions on innovative agricultural technologies, maintenance fund management and best practices in watershed sustainability.

-A field visit to the Sekkipatti watershed for hands-on learning about innovative practices and effective VWC operations.

-Participant presentations covering key topics like strengthening farmers clubs, water harvesting climate resilience and more.

Participants: 32 enthusiastic VWC members of KfW Soil Project and PFA representatives came together to share insights and strategies for ensuring long-term community success.

A heartfelt thanks to Mr. S. Natarajan, Former CGM – NABARD, IADF team, NABARD and all the resource persons for their invaluable contributions to making this program a success.

The training emphasized sustainable practices for climate adaptation, livelihood enhancement and the establishment of Village Knowledge Centers to drive skill development and community growth. Together, let’s continue working towards building a more resilient and sustainable future!
