NABARD MABIF encourages student exposure visits by providing meaningful learning opportunities in entrepreneurship, innovation and agribusiness development.
As part of their Experiential Learning Courses, final-year students from the Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai, visited MABIF. The students are undergoing courses in areas such as Bee Keeping, Mushroom Production, Integrated Farming System (IFS), Composting Technology and other agriculture-based disciplines.
During the visit, the students were introduced to the various support services and entrepreneurial opportunities offered by MABIF for startups, entrepreneurs, farmers and Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs). They gained insights into agribusiness incubation, value addition, product development, branding, marketing and opportunities for agricultural graduates to establish their own enterprises.
The students also visited the Food Processing Centre, which has Milk Processing Unit, Retort Processing Unit, Chikki Processing Unit, Animal Feed Production Unit and Food Testing Laboratory, etc.,
The exposure visit helped the students understand practical pathways for converting agricultural knowledge and innovations into viable entrepreneurial ventures.
A total of 70+ students actively participated in the exposure visit.
