Who says learning stops after retirement? Meet Smt. Preethy, a retired Principal, who has embarked on an innovative agricultural journey through indoor saffron cultivation!
Her journey with NABARD – Madurai Agri Business Incubation Forum (NABARD MABIF) began on 23rd May 2025, when she participated as a trainee in the “Training on Indoor Saffron Cultivation 1.0”. Inspired by the training, she put her learning into practice and started her own indoor saffron cultivation venture.
Her progress came full circle on 11th July 2026, when she returned to MABIF as a Resource Person for the “Training Programme on Indoor Saffron Cultivation 2.0”, sharing her practical experience and inspiring other aspiring entrepreneurs with her journey.
From learning the fundamentals as a trainee to sharing her knowledge as a resource person, and now establishing herself as an entrepreneur, Smt. Preethy’s journey reflects the true impact of practical training and entrepreneurial support.
Her inspiring achievement has also been featured in Mathrubhumi newspaper, bringing recognition to her efforts in indoor saffron cultivation.
