NABARD MABIF had the privilege of being part of the “Stakeholder Consultation Meeting” organized by ESAF Bank at Hotel Asoka Inn, Thrissur, from 8th to 9th October 2024. Various stakeholders from across India participated in the meeting. Prof. Shambu Prasad Chebrolu, Dean, Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), was also part of this event, contributing valuable insights to the discussions.
During this event, Er. Ganesh Moorthy K, CEO, MABIF, presented the NABARD MABIF’s activities, emphasizing its role in driving agricultural innovation and supporting Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). NABARD MABIF is also exploring potential collaboration with ESAF Bank to build a sustainable FPO ecosystem, aimed at enhancing agricultural sustainability and empowering rural communities.
The event focused on understanding the FPO ecosystem and building a Centre for Excellence on Collectives, providing a valuable platform for discussions on promoting collectives, addressing regulatory challenges and enhancing capacity-building efforts.
He also had the opportunity to meet Shri. Paul Thomas, the visionary Founder of ESAF Group of Social Enterprises, which includes ESAF Microfinance and Investments Pvt Ltd. Known for his humble and down-to-earth nature, Shri. Paul Thomas has continuously worked towards empowering underserved communities, promoting financial inclusion and uplifting economically weaker sections of society.
