Madurai Agribusiness Incubation Forum (MABIF) in association with the Directorate of Agribusiness Development, TNAU, successfully conducted a two-day programme on “Development of Supply Chain Management for Selected Food Processing Enterprises in the MSME Sector” under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme, from 18th – 19th August 2026 at AC&RI, TNAU Campus, Madurai.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. D. Murugananthi, Assistant Professor (ARM), DABD, TNAU and Er. K. Ganesh Moorthy, ED & CEO, MABIF, who also shared valuable insights on incubation services and their role in supporting emerging enterprises.
The programme brought together food-processing entrepreneurs, technical experts, industry professionals and incubation specialists to strengthen enterprise development and market readiness.
Key topics covered: Food-processing technology and machinery, product development, value addition, quality assurance, shelf life, packaging and labelling, FSSAI compliance, marketing, supply-chain management and commercialisation, with a focus on millet, traditional rice, oil, spices, fruits & vegetables, herbal, honey, palm-based and RTE/RTC products.
Participants also visited the MABIF Products Promotional Centre (Gateway of Madura), NABARD GIFC and the Food Processing Centre, which has Milk Processing Unit, Retort Processing Unit, Chikki Processing Unit, Animal Feed Production Unit and Food Testing Laboratory, etc.,
