Bakery Products & Chikki Value Addition under the TNSDC Skill Development Training – Vetri Nichayam

Madurai Agribusiness Incubation Forum successfully conducted the Certificate Course on Bakery Products & Chikki Value Addition under the TNSDC Skill Development Training – Vetri Nichayam initiative from 30.10.2025 to 28.11.2025, creating a meaningful and impactful learning platform for aspiring food entrepreneurs across the region.

This intensive 26-day program was meticulously designed to provide participants with a strong foundation in both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical training, covering a wide range of essential topics such as Bakery techniques, Chikki value addition methods, product development processes, hygiene and food safety practices, packaging techniques and the fundamentals of small-scale entrepreneurship. Throughout the course, participants were actively engaged in practical demonstrations, skill-building exercises and product-making sessions that helped strengthen their confidence, enhance their technical expertise and prepare them for real-world industry requirements.

A total of 25 dedicated and enthusiastic trainees successfully completed the program, gaining valuable industry-ready skills that will enable them to explore promising employment opportunities, start their own ventures, or expand their existing small businesses in the growing food processing sector. This training program stands as a significant step forward in empowering rural youth, fostering self-reliance, promoting entrepreneurship and supporting the development of skill-based livelihoods in Tamil Nadu.
